Lustrous bluish steel and olive brown with faded mint red covering about 10% of the planchet, mostly on the reverse. The surfaces are satiny and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. No spots or stains. The only marks are a light, barely visible scratch down under the ear lobe and another nearly horizontal one on the jaw. Neither mark breaks the toning or is visible without the aid of a good glass. E-MDS, die state a late. The fields on both sides are covered with very fine radial die flowlines but the points at ONE CENT are clear. The details at the ear are fully struck which is unusual for this variety. Our grade is MS60+. Not in the overall condition census for the variety but one of the finest seen in the earlier die state.

AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2020 and by appointment.

Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder.
