Lustrous light olive and medium brown with underlying golden tan from a very old chemical cleaning. The surfaces are satiny and this cent has great eye appeal. The only notable marks are two tiny ticks on the cheek right of the nostril. MDS with flowlined fields and die cracks on both sides. There is a double profile on the forehead, nose, lips, and chin (from die bounce or "machine doubling"). Our grade is net AU58. A nice cent that could easily pass as choice mint state, and it comes with an important provenance. The attribution is noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label.
