A nice mid-grade example of the highest denomination in the first the first series of Continental notes. This is also the only CC-10 under AU 50 given the coveted EPQ designation. Well inked. Clear signatures, and serial number with nice borders all around. Emblem motif depicting Laurel Wreath on Pedestal, symbolic of"those who do well are recognized." Motto reading SI RECTE FACIES, transiting to "If Though Shall Do Well." The back shows "wind blowing over field", with VI CONCITSTE, translated, "Driven by Force" and "sun over sea with two ships, with CESSANTE VENTO CONQUESCEMUS, "Conquer the Wind"
