Very attractive lustrous mint red fading to light steel brown and olive with half the mint color remaining. The surfaces are satiny and this cent has outstanding eye appeal. The only marks are a nick-like planchet chip on the jawline near the ear lobe, a puff of darker toning above star 5, and a hint of slightly darker toning at F-A. Otherwise this cent is a gem. MDS, die state b. The fine repunching under the 185 is clear and there are very fine die clashmarks on both sides (an unclashed example is unknown and may not exist). Our grade is MS63+, very close to MS64, and tied for CC#5 honors in the Grellman census. The attribution and Twin Leaf Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2, none finer in RB.Ex Douglas F.
