1853 N-7 R2 MS60+A sharp, very attractive cent that was dipped long ago and has retoned naturally to a frosty light olive with faint hints of iridescence in the obverse fields. The only mark is a tiny rim nick between stars 3 & 4. E-MDS, die state b early. The earlier die lines on both sides are gone but the spike from the dentils below the 8 is strong. The fields are smooth with fresh die lapping lines on both sides. Comes with a nice provenance.Certificate Number: Pedigree: Ex Dr. James O. Sloss, Abe Kosoff 10/21/1959:312-R. E.
