Very attractive glossy light to medium chocolate brown and steel. Satiny mint frost covers the fields and protected areas and this cent has mint state eye appeal. There is a touch of rub on the highest points of the devices. The only defect is a shallow planchet flake in the dentils over the I in UNITED. LDS, die state c. The tops of the C & E in CENT are joined by crumbling and the repunching is barely visible on the first 1, gone on the second (Newcomb's old #28). Our grade is AU55. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. 406707.63/81762222 Ex Russell Wyatt, Superior 9/1985:821 (where cataloged as N-11)-Herman Halpern, Stack's 3/16/1988:671-Dr. Thomas S.
