Highly lustrous medium steel brown with mellowed mint red covering 10-15% of the reverse. Delicate overtones of light bluish steel cover the fields. Very sharply struck with superb eye appeal. The only defects are a tick on the right upright of the N in CENT, a tiny scratch right of the second A in AMERICA, and a shallow planchet void in the dentils over the E in AMERICA (as struck). Very early die state, die state a, with sharp die lines around the date and in the fields on both sides. The 51 over Inverted 18 feature is bold, as sharp as it gets. A wonderful example of this popular "Redbook" variety. Our grade is MS64. Housed in an older generation PCGS slab.

AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2020 and by appointment.

Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder.
