1850 N-15 R2 PCGS graded MS65 Red & Brown, CAC ApprovedLustrous mellowed mint red fading to light olive brown and steel with about a third of the planchet showing some mint color. Satiny and nearly flawless with great eye appeal. The best identifying marks are a dull, light tick on the end of the chin, a thin nick on the jaw, and a small spot of slightly darker toning on the left side of star 11. Rare M-LDS, die state b. The die lines from the dentils over star 5 are gone. Our grade is MS63+. The attribution and Iskra Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.Certificate Number: 403947.65/81174553Pedigree: Ex G. L. Dawson, McCawley & Grellman Auctions 1/11/1997:599-R. S.
