Frosty light to medium steel brown. Satiny and choice if not for a single dull nick under the hair bun. M-LDS, die state b late. The repunching inside the triangle of the 4 is gone but some is still visible inside the lower loops of the 8's (same as the preceding lot). A very attractive cent. Our grade is MS60, but close to deserving a higher grade. Tied for CC#4 for the variety in the Grellman census. Comes with an impressive provenance. The attribution and Twin Leaf Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.406447.64/31375215Ex Chris McCawley-Wesley A. Rasmussen, McCawley & Grellman Auctions/Superior 2/8/1998:192-R. S.
