Date: 1847Choice lustrous light olive and steel brown with 10-15% of the mint red remaining, mostly on the reverse. Sharply struck with great eye appeal. No spots or stains. The only mark is a faint, extremely light scuff in the field just right of star 1. E-MDS, die state a, with very fine die polishing lines from the first T in STATES to the O in ONE. Our grade is MS63, tied for CC#2 in the Grellman census. Comes with a nice provenance.1877.64/30684251Ex Herbert M.
