Date: 1847Lustrous light bluish steel brown with generous traces of mellowed mint red showing on both sides. The surfaces are satiny and this cent has great eye appeal. Trivial marks including a puff of slightly darker bluish steel toning under star 1 and a nick in the hair between stars 7 & 8. LDS, die state d, with die weak die clashmarks on both sides and a fine crack at S-O (Newcomb's #16). Our grade is MS62+.
