Date: 1847Frosty light greenish olive with subtle overtones of light bluish steel, Traces of faded mint red remain on the obverse with 10% of the reverse showing brighter mint color. The surfaces are satiny and nearly flawless, and the eye appeal of this cent is outstanding. A tiny speck of darker brown toning midway between star 3 and the end of the nose is the best identifying mark. Sharply struck with full radial lines in all the stars. E-MDS, die state b. A die crack connects the top of the M to the dentils at either side but the crack at OF has not formed. Our grade is MS63, tied for CC#2 in the Grellman census. AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 15% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.

Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder.
