Date: 1847Glossy light to medium brown with a tiny splash of darker chocolate brown toning on the N in ONE. Satiny mint frost covers the protected areas on both sides and this cent has very nice eye appeal. Looks choice mint state but there is a hint of rub on the highest points of the devices. E-MDS, die state b, with fine die cracks on the reverse but no rim cuds. The repunching under the crossbar of the 4 is clear. Our grade is AU58, tied for CC#10 in the Grellman census. Comes with a very nice provenance. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.Ex Henry C. Hines-Floyd T.
