Slightly sharper but there is a rim bruise at the bottom of the reverse plus a very light rim bruise under star 11. Glossy light to medium brown with chocolate toning on the highpoints. Smooth and attractive for the grade in spite of the few marks. MDS, die state c early, with a very faint die crack through the top of ITED in addition to the earlier die cracks on that side. A nice example of this tough variety, and it comes with an impressive provenance. (Also contains a note from Howard Newcomb on the Blaisdell envelope.)Ex Henry C. Hines-Willard C. Blaisdell 9/1976 (via Del Bland)-R. E. "Ted" Naftzger, Jr. 10/1983-John J. Nicholas-Fred H. Borcherdt Collection (includes the Blaisdell, Naftzger, and Nicholas collection envelopes)
