Date: 1847Lustrous light bluish steel brown and olive. Satiny and sharp with excellent eye appeal. Just trivial marks including some microscopic ticks in the field off the chin and between star 3 and the nose. The best identifying mark is a trace of shallow crud nestled around the berry under the first S in STATES. M-LDS, die state d early, with several die cracks on the reverse but no cud break. The area between the cracks over AM is just starting to shift inward. A very nice example of this scarce variety. Our grade is MS60, tied for CC#5 in the Grellman census.1770460-005Ex Randy Burgess, McCawley & Grellman Auctions/Goldbergs 5/27/2007:196
