Date: 1847Highly lustrous steel brown and olive with 10% of the mint red remaining, mostly on the reverse. A very attractive cent with trivial marks. A thin, barely visible nick along the throat, a puff of slightly darker toning left of star 12, and a small nick near the dentils under the right side of the 8 are the only notable marks. E-MDS, die state a, with fine die lines in the fields on both sides and an uncracked reverse (Newcomb's #21). Our grade is MS60+, close to MS62.
