Frosty bluish steel brown and light olive with 5-10% of the mellowed mint red remaining, mostly on the reverse. The only notable defects are a faint spot of very shallow reddish chocolate verdigris on the throat and a barely visible contact mark near the dentils below star 9. The spot is not distracting and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. Sharply struck LDS, die state d. There is a narrow but strong rim cud from star 4 down to below star 3 and fine die cracks pass through much of the reverse legend. Our grade is MS62, tied for CC#4 overall for the variety but finest of the late die state in the Grellman census. The attribution and Iskra Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.405788.63/81078217Ex Douglas F. Bird 12/1989-J. R. "Bob" Grellman Collection 2001-R. S.
