Lustrous golden tan and very light olive with hint of very faded mint color in some protected areas on the reverse. Sharply struck on the portrait and wreath but many of the dentils on the obverse are mushy. The only notable mark is a tiny tick near the hair under the left side of star 7. EDS with smooth fields and no trace of flowlines in the fields. Our grade is AU58+, tied for CC#5 in the Grellman census. The attribution and Mervis Collection provenance are noted on the NGC label.2038637-004Ex 1978 EAC Sale, lot 181-Douglas F. Bird-R. S.
