Beautiful lustrous light steel brown with generous traces of mint red on both sides, especially on the reverse. The surfaces are satiny and the eye appeal of this cent is superb (hence the big grade assigned by PCGS). No spots or stains, just a few trivial contact marks. The notable ones are a tick off the upper left point of star 1, another tiny one on the neck, and a dull scratch in the dentils right of star 11. E-MDS with lightly flowlined fields. The depression in the field off the upper right point of star 1 is just starting to show. Our grade is MS64, near the top of the condition census for the variety. A very nice cent that comes with a provenance that has been traced back to 1910. The attribution and D. Brent Pogue Collection provenance are noted on the special PCGS label.
