Lustrous medium steel brown with generous traces of mellowed mint red, especially on the lower half of the reverse. Satiny and very attractive. The only marks, and they are barely visible, are a light scrape on the coronet over ER in LIBERTY and some extremely faint hairline scratches on the rim and dentils at stars 9-11. None of these marks is visible to the unaided eye, and they are not easy to see with a good glass. E-MDS, Grellman state a, with very fine flowlines in the fields and a sharp, curved die line from the dentils over star 5 to star 6. Removed from an older generation PCGS holder graded MS64RB (old foldover green PCGS label #01742.64/7146289 included).
