Lustrous bluish steel brown and olive with 5% of the faded red remaining on the obverse. The only marks are a horizontal nick high on the bust, a dull diagonal nick right of star 7, a thin vertical nick on the cheek, and a nick-like planchet chip on the rim at TA in STATES, as struck. None of these marks is at all distracting and the eye appeal is excellent. EDS. The obverse fields are smooth and a spike extends up to the left from the junction of the curl and front edge of the coronet. Our grade is MS60+. The attribution and Dan Holmes provenance are noted on the PCGS label. (The slab is badly scuffed.)
