Lustrous light to medium steel brown. Frosty and very attractive with satiny luster covering both sides. Just a few trivial marks including a speck of carbon at the dentils under star 1 and another at the dentil tips over star 6. The only die state for this variety with heavily worn and lapped dies on both sides. The "smooth pool" inside the ear and the broken right upright on the N in CENT are both clear. Graded MS61 and the finest of only 2 mint state examples in the Noyes census, his photo #69567. Our grade is MS60+. The attribution and Twin Leaf Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.

Ex Stack's 3/2001:134-Jack Wadlington (The Twin Leaf Collection), Stack's Bowers 7/16/2015:2313-Chris McCawley-Doctor Thomas Wachtel Collection (includes the Wadlington collection notes and both lot tickets)
