Recolored a rather frosty mix of medium steel brown and chocolate. Covered with very fine roughness. No verdigris and the only notable mark is a small nick or planchet flake mid-jawline. Extremely rare M-LDS with a clearly defined rim cud from star 7 to over the left point of star 8. Less than a half dozen are known and this is the finest of the known examples. Rarer than the famous terminal die state that has the very large cud break touching stars 5 & 6. Our grade is net VF20. This is the discovery coin for the die state and it comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and Twin Leaf Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
