Glossy olive and chocolate brown. Smooth with no trace of corrosion or verdigris, but there are a few contact marks. A strong, dull nick on the rim at star 9 is the major mark but there are a few small nicks or digs around the date and star 1 as well. Terminal die state with a very large cud break from star 5 to star 7 that envelopes most of star 6. Only 9 examples are confirmed. Graded VG10 net VG8 and tied for CC#3 in the Noyes census, his photo #69566. Our grade is net VG8 as well. The finest known grades net F15. A decent example of the largest cud break in the series of 1816-1839 cents. The attribution and Twin Leaf Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
