Frosty medium steel brown. The fields are satiny and this cent has very nice eye appeal. There is a touch of friction on the highest points of the devices and some small contact marks including a nick on the second 8, another near the curl left of star 13, and two more on the rim at the second A in AMERICA. None of these marks catches your eye. LDS with a cud break at stars 1-2 that nearly touches the outer point of star 1 (Newcomb's old #13). Our grade is AU50+, close to AU55. Not in the overall condition census for the variety but third finest of those known with the cud break. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label.
