Lustrous light to medium brown and olive with mellowed mint red covering about 20% of the planchet. Nearly flawless, just a few tiny specks of darker toning scattered over the obverse and an incipient planchet clip that weakens some dentils between stars 7 & 8. The best identifying specks are one near the dentils under star 2 and a larger one at the right bottom of the O in ONE. LDS (but not quite the latest) with numerous die cracks on both sides including a horizontal one across the bust, but the die scratches left of star 2 and near the dentils between stars 3 & 4 have not been added. This obverse die is essentially shattered at this point. Removed from a PCGS slab graded MS64RB (PCGS label #1730.64/3473941 included). Our grade is MS62. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label.

AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2020 and by appointment.
