Choice frosty light to medium brown. This cent has virtually flawless surfaces and has outstanding eye appeal for a lightly worn cent. The only defects are a tiny planchet flake under the 3 in the date and a few more over NI in UNITED, all as struck. Sharply struck EDS+. A die crack reaches from the bust tip through the portrait to the hair under star 8, and the reverse is cracked from the dentils over the A in STATES to the right top of that letter and down to the wreath under the adjacent T where it ends. Our grade is EF45. Comes with a very nice provenance, especially for a relatively modest cent. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label.

AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2020 and by appointment.

Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder. Bidding will proceed as competition dictates with the lot either selling to the floor or to the mail/web bidder at one increment above the second highest bid.
