Glossy olive brown and steel with faded mint color showing in protected areas on the obverse. The fields are satiny and lustrous, and this cent has excellent eye appeal. There are a few faint contact marks between the chin and star 2 and a spot of darker toning that contains fine crud on the O in ONE. M-LDS. The die lines over ERICA are gone but the dentils are complete around the obverse (Newcomb's old #7). Our grade is MS60. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label.
