Date: 1837Frosty light steel brown with peeps of golden tan in protected areas and delicate hints of bluish steel overtone. This cent is lightly oxidized and is in need of a light brushing to uncover the underlying luster. A couple small carbon spots are nestled into the wreath below AM. There is light friction on the highpoints and the only notable mark is a planchet flake on the jawline over the throat. MDS, Grellman state c, with die cracks through stars 3 & 4 and narrow rim cuds from just past star 4 nearly to star 7. Our grade is AU50+. The attribution is incorrectly shown as N-1 on the NGC label.149328-020

AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 15% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
