Glossy medium olive brown and steel with lots of frosty light brown and tan in protected areas on both sides. There is a puff of slightly darker toning just right of the date and a few trivial contact marks. The notable marks are a nick-like planchet chip in the field off the brow, a very light scratch at the dentil tips over star 9, and a small nick on the upper end of the diagonal of the N in CENT. EDS with an uncracked reverse. Graded AU50 net EF45 and tied for CC#8 in the Noyes census, his photo #58486. Our grade is EF45. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label.

AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2020 and by appointment.

Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder.
