Frosty light to medium brown with a subtle puff of slightly darker olive brown toning from the bust to star 1 and the chin. Flowline luster covers the fields and protected areas on both sides. There is a touch of friction on the highest points of the devices and the only marks are two small pinpricks right of star 3. LDS (Newcomb's old #17) with fine die rust evident on both sides, especially inside the wreath. There is a fine but clear double profile from the brow down to the tip of the nose (from die bounce or "machine doubling"). Our grade is AU50+. Comes with a very nice provenance. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label.
