Frosty steel brown with lighter brown in protected areas. The reverse is partly woodgrained with light brown and darker olive brown tones. Satiny luster shows in protected areas and there is just light wear on the devices. The only notable marks, and they are trivial, are a thin nick close under the nostril, another at the top of the L in LIBERTY, and a very light rim bruise at star 5. E-MDS, Grellman state a late. The lumps on the bottoms of the 1 & 8 are dull but still visible. There is a double profile on the forehead, nose, lips, and chin with additional doubling on several of the stars (machine doubling). Removed from an NGC holder graded AU55 (NGC label #3313412-016 included, and it shows the attribution).
