Nicely recolored glossy dark steel and olive brown. The surfaces are smooth except for a small area of microscopic roughness at the dentil tips just right of the date. No verdigris, only minor contact marks including a small, dull pin prick in the hair over the E in LIBERTY. There is no "Edge Damage" as noted by PCGS (perhaps they meant to code "Cleaned"). EDS. The fine radial cracks up to the dentils from the N & D in UNITED have not formed. Our grade is VF25 sharpness net VF20. A decent example of a tough die variety, and it comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label.
