Glossy olive brown and bluish steel with traces of very faded red in protected areas, most likely the result of an old cleaning. The surfaces are smooth and the toning is attractive (hence the nice grade assigned by the folks at PCGS). Nearly void of contact marks; a small nick left of the O in ONE may help identify this cent. MDS with an arc of dentils impressed into the die over ONE but the rim cud over ST has not formed. The repunching under the 5 and the lump below the 35 are still clear. There is a double profile on the forehead and a triple profile on the lips plus doubling on stars 2-9 (all from die bounce or "machine doubling"). Graded VF30 by Del Bland and Bill Noyes, Noyes photo #35949. Our grade is net VF30 as well. The attribution and Twin Leaf Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
