1835 N-13 R4 Head of 1834 VG8+Sharpness near F15 but the obverse is covered with fine roughness while the reverse is smooth. No notable marks or verdigris, and the toning is a rather glossy dark chocolate mixed with lighter olive brown. The eye appeal of this cent is better than the technical grade might suggest. Extremely rare TDS, die state h, with a rather large retained cud break at star 5. The cud is raised on the left end, sunken on the right end. Only six examples of the terminal die state are known to us. Graded F15 net VG8 and CC#3 of the die state in the Noyes census, his photo #26710. Comes with a nice provenance.Pedigree: G2
