1833 N-5 R1 Repunched 8 PCGS graded MS64 Brown

Lustrous light olive and steel brown with traces of faded mint red in protected areas. The surfaces are satiny and this cent has outstanding eye appeal. The only marks are a speck of fine carbon in the dentils left of star 1 and some crud hidden close under the eye. Nicely struck M-LDS. The repunching at the top of the 8 is dull but visible (the so-called "Horned 8"), the stray 8 in the dentils below that 8 is gone, and the repunching at ICA is still visible. The reverse is rotated 35 degrees clockwise. Our grade is MS62. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label.
