1833 N-3 R1 NGC graded MS64 Brown

Lustrous light olive and steel brown with lighter steel brown and tan in protected areas on the reverse. Hints of faded mint color show on the obverse. Looks choice mint state, hence the high grade assigned by NGC, but there is a hint of rub on the very highest points of the portrait and the luster is diminished a bit by a thin layer of natural oxidation. A small puff of darker toning (not carbon) at the forehead and another on the left side of the second T in STATES can help identify this cent. LDS with a tiny rim cud left of star 2 and another left of star 4. Our grade is AU58. The attribution and Green-Newman provenance are noted on the NGC label.
