1832 N-1 R2 Medium Letters MS62

Lustrous bluish steel and light olive with ample mellowed mint red showing on both sides, particularly on the obverse. Satiny and sharp with outstanding eye appeal. Choice if not for a very light scratch at the top of D-ST, and it takes a glass to see this mark. E-MDS with sharp dentils around both sides and microscopic die flowlines in the fields. Graded MS60 and tied for CC#9 in the Noyes census, his photo #20453. Called MS62 in the Del Bland census, and graded MS63 in the 1989 EAC Sale. Any way you grade it this is a nice cent, and it comes with a great provenance.
