Attractive lustrous light brown with slightly darker steel brown toning on the highest points of the devices. The only contact mark is a light scuff in the field between star 11 and the hair bun. Nicely struck EDS+. The obverse fields are hard and slightly reflective from a fresh die polishing that left fine nearly vertical die lapping lines in the field before the portrait and removed the arcing die line right of the date. The earlier die crack through the top of the date and stars 1-7 and 9-13 is clear and there is a new fine crack from the left point of star 5 to a dentil. The weaker die crack down from the lower point of star 5 reaches into the field extending nearly to star 4. Called MS60 and tied for CC#3 in the Noyes census, his photo #32205. Our grade is MS60. The attribution and Dan Holmes provenance are noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label.

AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2020 and by appointment.

Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder. Bidding will proceed as competition dictates with the lot either selling to the floor or to the mail/web bidder at one increment above the second highest bid.
