Lustrous steel brown and light olive with lighter brown in protected areas on the reverse. The surfaces are satiny and this cent has great eye appeal, but there are some microscopic planchet defects. The notable defects are a tiny planchet chip right of the upper lip, one at the dentil tips right of star 7, one close to the forelock, another under the 3, and one more at the dentils at the bottom of the reverse. These last two have a very tiny speck of verdigris inside. Otherwise this cent is flawless. MDS with crumbling connecting two dentils between stars 6 & 7. Our grade is net AU58. Comes with a very nice provenance. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label.
