Choice lustrous light brown with peeps of mellowed mint red showing in protected areas, particularly on the obverse. A beautiful cent, nearly flawless but softly struck as so often seen on this variety. No spots or stains, and the only marks are a tiny abrasion on the truncation over the 8 and a nick hidden on star 11. LDS with strong die flowlines in the fields on both sides. Graded EF45 and tied for CC#8 in the Noyes census, his photo #25290. Our grade is AU50. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label.
