Lustrous light olive and steel brown with delicate overtones of light bluish steel and nearly a third of the mellowed mint red remaining, mostly on the reverse. This cent is covered with satiny mint frost and it has outstanding eye appeal. A tiny pinprick left of star 7, traces of an old fingerprint inside the wreath, and two tiny rim nicks over the D in UNITED are the only notable flaws. MDS. The inner circle on the obverse is nearly complete and the die crack through the date and most stars is clear. Both sides show die clashmarks and the reverse is rotated 150 degrees CCW relative to the normal head-to-foot die orientation. A very impressive cent. Our grade is MS64. The attribution and Ahumada provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
