Frosty medium brown and light chocolate with hints of underlying very faded mint color showing through in the fields and protected areas. There are small puffs of darker olive brown toning (not carbon) scattered over the right side of the obverse; otherwise this cent is choice. The fields are lustrous and this cent looks mint state but there is a hint of friction on the highest points of the devices. MDS with a die crack through star 2 and another from the upper point of star 1 to star 2, but no crack from the bust tip or chip on the upper left point of star 2. The strike is soft on the tip of the coronet, top of the hair bun, stars, and on some of the leaves (as often seen on this variety). Our grade is AU55. The attribution is noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label.
