1829 N-5 R3 Medium Letters PCGS graded AU58Frosty steel brown with light brown in protected areas. The lighter brown toning dominates the reverse. Mint frost covers the fields and protected areas and this cent has very nice eye appeal in spite of the usual weak strike. In fact there is very little actual wear and it is nearly void of marks. A faint hairline over the 8 and a small nick in the center of the neck are the best identifying marks. E-MDS, die state b, with crumbling connecting two dentils at the bottom of star 3. Graded AU50 net EF45 and tied for CC#4 in the Noyes census, his photo #35437. Our grade is AU50.Certificate Number: 36931.58/30812879Pedigree: Ex Ted Pappenfuss-Donald Valenziano, Jr. 5/1991-Thomas D. Reynolds 6/1991-R. S. "Robbie" Brown, Jr., Superior 1/27/1996:548-W. M.
