Frosty light brown with darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. The surfaces are satiny and smooth, nearly flawless except for the usual weak strike. A tiny planchet flake on the nose below the front edge of the eye and a small puff of darker toning in the field over the end of the nose can help identify this cent. LDS with a rather strong die crack through the R in AMERICA into the wreath. There is a narrow double profile on the upper lip, the 829, and on most of the stars. Graded VF20 and tied for CC#11 in the Noyes census, his photo #58472. Our grade is VF20+ (but it has the surfaces of a higher grade, the grade held down by the soft strike). The attribution is noted on the PCGS label.
