Glossy chocolate brown and steel with mint frost covering the protected areas on both sides. Possibly retoned long ago but the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. The surfaces are smooth and the only notable marks are a small nick on the chin, a barely visible planchet lamination in the field under the chin, and a thin nick hidden on star 9. MDS. The repunching at CA in AMERICA is clear. A very nice example of the 1829 with Small Letters on the reverse. Graded AU50 net EF40 and tied for CC#5 in the Noyes census, his photo #22073. Our grade is EF40. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label.
