Glossy medium brown and light olive blending to light chocolate on the reverse. Smooth and void of marks--other than those resulting from the flipover double strike. Both strikes were centered on the planchet but the struck half cent failed to eject properly, flipped over, rotated about 180 degrees, and was struck a second time. Lots of undertype from the reverse shows in the obverse fields including several leaves and berries. The undertype obverse on the reverse is more subtle but the chin and neck are clearly visible at the left end of the line under CENT and the 8 from the date shows on the second A in AMERICA. A problem-free example of a really neat mint error.
