Glossy light chocolate and olive. Smooth and attractive for the grade, just worn with no defects. MDS with the usual die cracks on the obverse but without the radial crack from the upper right point of star 13 to the dentils. What makes this cent special is the strong double profile from the forehead down to the chin. While double profiles are relatively common on some years, particularly 1830-1835, they are quite rare on 1827 cents. And this one comes with a great provenance for an otherwise modest cent.
