Lustrous tan and light brown with peeps of mellowed mint red in protected areas. The surfaces are satiny, even the highest points of the devices, and this piece has outstanding eye appeal. A faint wisp of slightly darker toning up from the bust into the field right of star 3 and a tiny spot of darker toning (not carbon) at the right top of the E in AMERICA are the best identifying marks. M-LDS, Manley state 4.0, Fuhrman state 4. The die lines right of the date are clear but the lines at the top of the head are gone. The die cracks from the bust and at stars 1-3 are clear. Our grade is MS64. Housed in an older generation PCGS slab.
