1825 N-3 R3 PCGS graded MS63 BrownFrosty steel brown and chocolate with generous traces of very faded mint color in protected areas on the reverse. Satiny mint luster covers all but the highpoints on the portrait and this cent has excellent eye appeal. The only marks are two barely visible planchet flakes on the jawline, as struck, a few tiny ticks on the nose, and a puff of reddish steel toning at ES in STATES. The portrait is very well struck. M-LDS, die state c early, with a microscopic die crack down from the curl over the right edge of the 5 and another equally faint die crack slanting down from the bottom edge of the bust over the 1. Graded MS60 and tied for CC#3 in the Noyes census, his photo #27700. Bland says MS60 and tied for CC#4 in his census. Our grade is MS60. AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2020 and by appointment.
